How to Succeed in Network Marketing

Popularity of a Networking Company
Popularity is an important factor in the MLM, though often overrated. A network becomes popular while having a lot of members to promote it, and a typical wanderer would assume: the more members are in, the better must be the condition, as the people choose it among many. Now why is this assumption not necessarily true? Because not everyone actually tries to volunteer for every network available and compare the results. Most of the people join through the friends, or advertisement in the media into some network, and they feel attached and compelled to stay by their recruiters, instead of experimenting with other networks, and in some companies they are being forced to stay by the policies.
The Advantage of the Popularity
The advantage of the top popularity networks, is that they are more supportive and can supply a lot of business materials. When you research the popular companies, you could easily find the details on their business opportunity, products, as well as reviews and testimonies. This not only helps you to understand and communicate its advantages to your clients, but would also raise your credibility in their eyes. Many consumers are internet-savvy and would make their decisions based on the information they can find from the open sources. Another advantage is the support, the popular companies tend to have more comfortable offices with a lot of branches, and personnel to assist the distributors and conduct the seminars.
The
Downside of the Popularity
The bottom line of the popularity is a competition, so the more people are active in the network – the more difficult it is to leverage it, as there are other independent distributors who become your competitors! Take for example the Avon, there are just too many distributors, and in order to stay in the business, they have to chase their clients with friendly offers, such as selling their products on credit and accepting the pay in installments, providing the free of charge deliveries, giving away the brochures, etc. That’s why I would not recommend chasing the most popular networks.

Ethics for a Better Network Marketing Environment
1. The main focus of Network Marketing is on building relationships. Successful Network Marketing depends on quality relationships and quality relationships depend on ethical behavior.
2. If you want to succeed in Network Marketing, choose the company with the products, services, corporate atmosphere, vision and compensation plan you prefer, and stick to it until you succeed.
3. In Network Marketing, as in all people businesses, reputation is everything. Your reputation is virtually the key to your success, why jeopardize it with foul play?
4. Don't jump at the next -and greatest opportunity that comes along - there's always another better opportunity on the horizon. The grass only looks greener. Leave hopscotch marketing to MLM junkies.
5. Protect yourself from downline raiders and cross-sponsoring profiteers by insuring maximal support to, and communication with, your network. Remember to be of service and contribution to your group.
Ethical Considerations
1. Network raiding is predatory, parasitic and unethical. It gives a bad name to MLM as a whole, and sets a precedent that is highly destabilizing.
2. The distributor application you sign is a legally binding document. It contains your company's distributor bylaws which guarantee specific rights designed to protect the company and the distributor.
3. As distributors within the same company we share special contacts, restricted privileges, access to confidential information and a certain commonality that can not be abused without violating the integrity of the network as a whole.
4. Networks are built by the effort of many individuals, and are co-owned proportionally by everyone involved. No one has exclusive ownership of an entire network.
5. Cross-sponsoring violates one of the most time honored and fundamental principles of human conduct - the Golden Rule. Remember: as you sow, so shall you reap.
6. Crossing-up, or approaching your up1ine as targets for other Network Marketing ventures is just another type of cross-sponsoring. Once again, as with sneaky crossing, this is an attack on someone else's business network - their upline's network.
7. Cross-sponsoring or creating conflict of interest within a network damages a distributor's reputation. Although the crossing may be done without malicious intent, the crosser's honesty and integrity quickly come into question. Respect and trust are jeopardized or destroyed. Hard feelings are engendered with any distributors whose networks have been invaded or harmed
Ethical Alternatives
1. Confine your business activities to just one MLM company at a time. You will avoid conflict and heighten your chances for success. This is our best advice and your best bet.
2. Thoroughly review your original company's policies regarding multiple involvements and cross-sponsoring. Either or both may not be allowed. Contact the company for updated information.
3. Consult your upline and let them know of your intentions.
4. Do not engage in a covert strategy of deception. When it is found out your relationships will suffer for it. Honesty is your best policy.
5. If you choose to get involved with two companies at once, keep the two networks absolutely separate.
6. Categorically refuse to sponsor anyone from the original company beyond or besides your own first level.
7. If you must be active in two companies at the same time, do not promote one company by discrediting, slandering, bad mouthing or denouncing the other. Avoid negative comparisons or representations.
8. If you absolutely insist on cross-sponsoring or if you just can't help from making negative representations and unfavorable comparisons - the Networker's Code of Ethics, Etiquette and Honor behooves you to quit your original company before moving ahead
9. Remember: When we, as Network Marketers, uphold ethical codes of conduct, we help strengthen the case for our industry as a whole.

Pinoy Networking Hype
Pinoy Networkers, To Hype Or Not To Hype?
San Pedro: Juan, maari ka bang sumama sa aking opisina, meron kaming bagong programa ngayon dito. Ngayon may pagkakataon ka nang pumili.
Juan: Wow!
San Pedro: Sure, No Problem.
San Pedro: Sure No Problem.
San Pedro: Ok, No Problem!
Juan: Hindi ko maintindihan to Mama.
ANONG NANGYARI?
Sumagot ang Lalaki. Ah iyon ba, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY MEETING Namin yun kanina!
We can compare this story to a someone who joins a MLM company because of A Pump Up opportunity meeting. When the speaker Hypes up everything and tell a story on how he and some distributors became successfull in just couple of months. Then after the prospect joins the business because of False Expectation He will soon discover the reality that MLM requires hard work, a lot of skills, and perseverance and even Money. Can't we just explain the business as it is and enough of the hype crap which is the main reason for so many bad publicity of our industry. If you Love our industry protect it!

Lies in Network Marketing
For those who are in networking business please read this very carefully.
TOP 3 NETWORKING LIES
1 The first lie is all people is a prospect. Why? People were designed by God in different purposes. Not all were made to be successful in networking business. We don't need to push everyone to join in networking if they don't have interest at all. Let the prospect ask you first because it only shows that they are interested. Just advertise it but never offer it to everyone. It will only affect your cycle.
2. Networking is easy as ABC. Hahaha... Totally lie. Everyone's key to success is to work hard for it. RIGHT!
3. We are not selling we are just sharing. Would you believe that. Networking is selling and not sharing. You have a product to introduce and you are selling the business concept.
That was the top 3 lies in networking business.

10 Tips for Successful Network Marketing
To enhance your direct selling and recruiting efforts within the world of multi-level marketing (MLM), consider using these MLM Success tips:
- Be Ethical: The world of direct selling and multi-level marketing is littered with unscrupulous people and selling tactics. Despite what pressures may be upon you driving you towards MLM success, be careful to run your business above bar in all respects.
- Sponsor, Don’t Recruit: Many MLMs incentivize representatives to recruit other sales representatives. Obviously, it will improve your profitability and recruitment numbers if your new recruits stick around for awhile. By setting aside time and resources to properly train your recruits on business practices and products, your retention rates will be better.
- Find a Company With A Product You Love: You can’t sell something or share your business if you don’t genuinely have pride in what you are representing. Do your MLM research and determine to partner with a company you can take pride in. Don't forget to look into the company's compensation plan before you join and make sure it is favorable to you.
- Make an Effort to Share Your Product Everyday: Do something for your business everyday. Whether that is sharing a product sample, inviting a neighbor or starting a website or social media account.
- Book At Least Three Parties: For an MLM with a product-party focus, make sure and walk away from each event with at least three more parties on the schedule. Doing so will ensure you grow your business rather than just sustain it.
- Educate Yourself on Different Ways to Market: If you excel at direct selling, but aren’t very computer savvy, take some time to learn how a website, email and social media can excel your business and product sales. If talking to customers is where you fall apart, brush up on your communication strategies.
- Don’t Barrage Your Friends and Family: You are going to be excited about your new business, and MLMs do a great job trying to generate an immediate frenzy with new recruits. My advice is to take a deep breath before you blast into your personal relationships. It is important to draw customers from your inner circle, but there is a fine line between inundating and informing.
- Be Genuine: & Listen: Listening goes hand in hand with being genuine. If you are having a “conversation” with someone but thinking only about the next thing you plan to say or share, you aren’t listening and you are going to miss something important. Telling isn’t selling. Understanding and meeting your customer's needs will sell product.
- Creatively Share Your Business: It is truly possible to share your business with everyone without sounding like a ranting lunatic. By being creative in how you introduce your business or use products publicly, you can draw in interested individuals naturally.
- Brush Up on the Realities of Most MLMs: Success and income generation aren’t as fruitful as most MLM companies would have you believe. Statistics show that less than one out of 100 MLM representatives actually see MLM success or make any money. Additionally, MLM scams and unsavory business practices are prevalent in the world of MLM. Watch out for warning signs of MLM scams.
From Mindy Lilyquist
What is Multi Level Marketing?
Multi level marketing, or MLM, is a system for selling goods or services through a wide network of distributors, each of whom is responsible and compensated for recruiting new members to the multi level marketing system.
Most multi-level (MLM) marketing programs grow through recruitment. Each person recruited becomes part of the "downline" for the person who recruited them. In most MLM marketing arrangements people make money off of the sales efforts of their downline. In some cases, more money than they make selling or distributing the actual products or services themselves.
While multi-level marketing programs have been successful for years, including some of the most noteworthy like Tupperware, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Amway, there are many more MLM failures than successes and the MLM industry is, unfortunately, rife with scams.
Multi-level marketing scams include "pyramid schemes" in which the investor is promised huge returns for a single investment, through the investments of all the downline recruits. Pyramid schemes are illegal because there are no products or services involved that have any value, the goal is merely recruiting others to pay investment fees for services or products that are never marketed or delivered, much like a chain letter.
Most successful network marketers stress the importance of getting into the program in its youth - while there's still money to be made and before the market becomes over saturated.
If you decide to try a multi-level marketing opportunity, you are urged to do your homework carefully and fully research the business you intend to market for and make sure that your sponsors provide all the necessary training and support you'll need to be successful. You'll also need to make sure that the network marketing opportunity you're considering is legal and the products are worth buying.
Also Known As: MLM, network marketing, multi-level marketing
Examples:
There are probably many times more failures than successes in multi-level marketing and many have learned the hard way - after investing their money - that network marketing, or MLM, was not as easy as it sounded when they bought into the program.
